The natural radiation exposure in Austria is about 2 to 3 mSv per year. This corresponds to about half of the annual dose received from the intake of natural radionuclides with food (0.3 to 0.4 mSv per year).įor comparison, a transatlantic flight or a lung X-ray corresponds to a dose of about 0.05 - 0.09 mSv, a mammography examination to about 0.2 to 0.3 mSv. If one consumes ten portions of wild boar meat (1 portion = 250 g) per year from the maximum contaminated wild boar (4,710 Bq/kg) from the project "Radioecological evaluation of radionuclide contamination in forest ecosystems 30 years after Chernobyl", the absorbed dose is thus 0.15 mSv per year. The measure of exposure to radioactivity is the dose and is expressed in milli-Sievert (mSv). The effects of Chernobyl contribute only to a very small extent to the average radiation exposure of the population in Austria (see graph below). This sample originated from a project of the province of Carinthia for the creation of a caesium-137 mushroom map. The activity concentration of the sample was approx. Only one semolina stubble mushroom sample showed a value above 600 Bq/kg. Among the wild mushrooms checked, all measurement results of chanterelles and porcini were far below this limit. Therefore, they were not game meat that was commercially available. These six samples all came from private individuals (hunters) who had shot animals in the wild. In the approximately 250 samples of game meat we have measured since 2019, there were only six samples with activity concentrations above the 600 Bq/kg limit. In addition, imports of mushrooms from third countries are also monitored for cesium-137. Therefore, we regularly monitor wild meat and mushrooms for cesium-137. In agriculturally produced products, the caesium-137 levels are back to the level they were before the Chernobyl accident, but higher caesium-137 levels can still occur in wild mushrooms and game. We test almost 1,000 food samples for radioactivity every year.

Shouldn’t it be the most famous person, Bruno?” 4 More than an individual, it was the mechanism of fame itself that fascinated Warhol, the degree to which fame consumes creativity by repeating one and the same image to a point of banality.Īfter Nixon’s trip in 1972 which would lead to full diplomatic relations with China, Warhol undertook a group of portraits of Chairman Mao. “That’s a good idea”, he replied, “but I was just reading in Life magazine that the most famous person in the world today is Chairman Mao. Originally, Bischofberger suggested Albert Einstein because of his acclaimed Theory of Relativity, however for Warhol, fame was more important than ideas appearance more important than importance itself. NO pass needed.RAISING CHAIRMAN MAO’S PORTRAIT DURING THE CULTURAL REVOLUTION IN BEIJING, CHINA, CIRCA 1970, PHOTO BY CHINAFOTOPRESS VIA GETTY IMAGESĪmerican writer Bob Colacello, who worked alongside Warhol for 12 years at Interview magazine in the 1970s and early 1980s, later remarked how Chairman Mao was to become the subject of the artist’s important group of works: “It began with an idea from Bruno Bischofberger, who had been pushing Andy to go back to painting… Bruno’s idea was that Andy should paint the most important figure of the twentieth century,” that he should not just 'go back to painting' but begin a whole new body of work, distinct from portraiture with an ambitious theme. Regardless, the coffee shop in there is open to ALL and they have food. Locals: awesome coffee and a real nice place to unwind with an annual pass. It's near the stadiums and there is a beautiful walk next to the river should you chose. Enjoy.Ĭonclusion: if you are visiting Pittsburgh, you have to go. And, to boot, the stuff in there is worth a ton. Regardless, I don't know art very well, but, the staff is awesome, it's really a fun museum, and I do highly recommend it. Sometimes I get stuck staring at and reading letters in the archive room. Lately I have been enjoying the Velvet Underground exhibit as a place to unwind for a few minutes. I will often go there to visit a certain piece that I thought was interesting, maybe watch a documentary, generally, just to relax and buy a coffee on the way out. The reason why I say that is I have an annual Carnegie pass, and work right next door. (2) The Review: I like this museum a lot, and it's growing on me. Toss in another museum or two, and even for tourists, the annual pass might be worth it. Attending this museum with 2 adults and 2 kids will set you back somewhere between $50-$75 depending on kids age for one visit. (1) Preamble to the review: are you visiting this museum as a local, or tourist (YaY! Welcome to an awesome city), and how many Carnegie museums do you plan on visiting over a year or during your visit? The reason why I ask, is a family membership is roughly $160 at the time of this review and includes a year membership to this museum, the Carnegie Science Center (bomb, visit, especially with kids!), Carnegie Museum of Art (pretty cool), and Carnegie Museum of Natural History (awesome). If you are a Warhol fan or want to learn more about the 60s-80s or are just looking for a cool way to spend a few hours in AC, I would definitely recommend this!! There are mixed medias as well - video, ballons, paintings, taxidermy, etc. There is a good mixture of Warhol's life and his work, which was also interesting. I love how much they devoted to the velvet underground. I love affordable little interactive souvenirs like this! Was such a fun way to remember the experience. My favorite part was, in the basement of the museum, you can screenprint a Warhol design for free on paper, or for really cheap on a bandana, shirt, or tote. That being said, the way they have the museum organized by decade, and the several attempts they made to have interactive portions, kept it as engaging as possible. 7 floors devoted to one person is a lot, and I think my brain wanted a little more novelty/diversity? I was lucky enough to go to this museum in August when they were offering free admittance to visitors. And would only give them access to my gaming accounts which isn't worth much and I do have 2FA on those accounts, plus I deleted any credit card attached to those accounts. That being said I do use ghost spectre strictly on a gaming PC only. It's common practice for companies / whoever to have a way into their system. My two cents, 100% there a rootkit, keylogger, bit miner or backdoor for this ios, all of the custom iso do (Tiny 11, win X-Lite, etc). Having 20 years experience doesn't mean you can't be wrong but it looks poorly when he doesn't do his due diligence. It's not in any of the ISOs I have from the official sources. It's not the team behind GS or Tiny11 fault that Chris downloaded a alternative install from a bad site that had a malicious exe. GS and Tiny11 has been available for quite a while and used by many different people. That's fearmongering.Ĭhris has "20 years" experience and cannot state a specific threat, aside from one that is not even part of the download from the GS or Tiny 11 team. All you have a generalized potential threat. What, specifically, is it doing that is negative? You both got nothing. You and Chris are stating that because GS is closed source and modified, it MUST be malicious. Your bias and fanboyism towards open source software shows you lack objectivity. Open source code review is not the ONLY way to check for malicious actions. Don't come yelling the sky is falling because some YouTuber wants to spread unfounded fear for likes and subscribes. If not, then avoid using these custom installs if it scares you so much. If you have a credible threat that can be reproducible from a clean install, then please share. 20 minutes straight, nothing but normal background traffic. I've been using GS on 2 systems for months and haven't found issues.įor shits and giggles, I ran wireshark on a GS system that's been running for 2 months. People aren't very careful with how they use their systems and can get infected in many ways. If so concerned, I wonder why he didn't submit it to VirusTotal and discuss the results.Īs far as the OP's images or anyone elses, it's doesn't establish that Tiny11 or GS has built in malware/spyware. exe he is referring to as the "proper" location to download the iso doesn't have a. The download site commonly suggested for downloading Tiny11 isn't github, so I don't know anything about the. But Chris doesn't cite specific malware found in Tiny11. Of course, there is a risk using a non-legit Windows installation. So being misleading seems to be a tread of Chris Titus. The Eric Lundgren case he cites of "Redistributing (windows) restore discs" ignores the fact that Eric was "selling" not "redistributing" the disks for profit. The Youtube video and christitus blog post is straight up fearmongering. (PLEASE REPLY + CHECK SCREENSHOTS + VIDEO) I'm using Ghost Spectre as my daily drive & I'm really concerned, scared & nervous on whether I'm safe or not. I'm concerned about the security state of Ghost Spectre, even if there is a YouTube channel & YouTube videos about how this is a very good OS & is seemingly safe. Hi, I'm here talking about a previous Reddit comment made by u/rmtusr in this Reddit, stating that Ghost Spectre is a malware (& could possibily hide malicious content inside the ISO even if it's scanned by an Anti-Virus tool) & I also saw a YouTube video that went in depth which was posted in the same Reddit post as a comment.
